Heavy Fire On Arrival In Parker

June 12, 2008 ~ Just before 1100 MetCom alerted the Parker-South Metro Fire Authority to an Unconfirmed Residential Structure Fire in the 8600 block of Apache Plume. First arriving Engine 75 found a two story single family home with heavy fire conditions on the alpha side. The response was quickly upgraded to a Confirmed Fire brining in two additional engine companies & an additional medic unit. Several lines were stretched and placed into operation as Ladder 35 went to the roof to open up. Winds were gusting between 35-45 mph during the entire operation. The fire was declared under control within 15 minutes, crews found that an exterior fire had spread into the siding and attic space and extensive overhaul took place. All searches proved negative and no injuries were reported, this was a great stop by the East Battalion.
