Centennial Building Collapse
March 4, 2008 ~ At noon South Metro and Parker Firefighters were alerted to the north end of Centennial Airport for a reported building collapse. First arriving Medic 35 found an aircraft hangar under construction with a major structural collapse and possibly up to 10 occupants trapped. A very large response was assigned including Heavy Rescue and Haz-Mat Companies from both departments. After further investigation crews were able to account for all of the buildings workers, none of which were trapped.
