Working Attic In Denver's 7th District
June 19, 2008 ~ Around 1800 DFD Group O-19 was alerted to the 5900 block of West Columbia Place for a reported structure fire. First due company 28 found a single story residence with light to moderate smoke issuing from the attic. Engine 28 took a plug, advanced a line and went in, locating and quickly knocking a small fire in the alpha side attic. Multiple crews worked for about 30 minutes to open up, vent and hit hot spots. All searches proved negative and no injuries were reported.
