J Alexander Restaurant Fire
March 20, 2008 ~ Just before 0600 Engine & Ladder 34 were called to an automatic fire alarm at the J Alexander Restaurant at 9707 East County Line Road. Units arrived on scene to find nothing showing and went inside to investigate, upon entering a burning odor was found. After further investigation moderate smoke conditions were found in the attic space and a Confirmed Commercial Structure Fire response was dispatched to the scene. Crews laddered the roof, established a water supply, stretched lines and started opening up the roof and walls. An hour was spent opening up and located a hidden, smoldering fire on the roof area which was quickly extinguished. No significant damage occurred.
