South Metro 2nd Alarm & 2nd Job Of The Day

March 20, 2008 ~ Just before 1530 South Metro Engine 31 arrived at 6425 South Dayton Street to find smoke and fire showing from the third floor balcony. The fire was located on the end unit of a three story occupied multiple dwelling with a report of a possible person trapped. Due to the conditions on arrival a second alarm was struck brining additional units from South Metro, Parker and Littleton. A water supply was established and an attack line was advanced to the third floor, a tower ladder was also placed into operation. The fire was quickly knocked down, all searched proved negative and the second alarm companies were released with in 20 to 30 minutes. Only minor extension into the building occurred and investigators were called to the scene.
