Fire Showing On Arrival In Englewood

January 12, 2008 - Just after 1630 units in the 2nd & 5th Battalions were alerted to Iliff Avenue just west of Tejon Street for a possible structure fire. First due Engine 21 and Truck 22 found smoke and flames showing from the roof a two story single family dwelling. Battalion Chief 2 had the command, the crew from 21 advanced inside for fire attack and Truck 22 went to the roof to open up. Company 52 stood fast as RIT as the fire which was confined to the chimney chase and attic area was quickly knocked. Command held all companies for salvage & overhaul for over an hour, all searches proved negative and no injuries were reported.
