Medic Unit Tackles Garage Fire
April 15, 2008 ~ In the early evening MetCom received a single call reporting a garage on fire located on Sawgrass Court in Lone Tree. First arriving Medic 36 had just left SkyRidge and arrived to find a two story, unoccupied residence with smoke and flames showing from the garage. Medic 36 got an initial knock on the fire with their water can and were quickly backed up by Engine & Ladder 34. One line was stretched and crews began opening up, no extension was found inside the home and the fire was declared out within 15 minutes. Automatic aid from Parker also responded and a cause was not determined at the time of this writing.
