Todd Sielaff Memorial Service
March 21, 2008 ~ Dispatchers, firefighters, police officers and family members gathered in Simla to pay tribute to Todd Sielaff. Todd, a volunteer firefighter with Simla and Richard "Joe" Rockwell, both dispatchers at Elbert County Communications; were killed in a car accident on their way home from work on March 17th on Highway 24 near Calhan. The service was held at the Big Sandy School with honor guard members from several agencies. The service was followed by an apparatus precession through town which ended at the football field where a brief memorial service was held. AirLife Denver did several flybys and landed, Memorial Star also did a flyby. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these two dispatchers, the Elbert County Dispatchers and the Simla Fire Department.
