Fast Knock On Denver Apartment

August 16, 2008 ~ In the early evening as the rain was starting to let up, Firefighters from Denver's 7th & 3rd Districts were alerted to a reported structure fire in the 3100 block of South Federal. First due Engine 25 arrived to find an occupied three story multiple dwelling with smoke showing from the first floor. The crew from 25 assisted by 23 advanced a line and made a fast knock on the fire. Neighboring units and units above the fire were all searched for extension and victims, none were found. Crews made fast work of the scene and started taking up within a half hour. Several of the same District 7 units also took on an attic fire near Mississippi & Federal only an hour later... totaling 4 structure fires in Denver alone for the day.
