January 1, 2007 - The new year started off with a bang in Littleton.  Just after 3 am crews were dispatched to the area south west of Red Wing Avenue in Highlands Ranch for a possible structure fire.  While enroute Engine 15 reported fire on the horrizon from a few miles out.  First due Engine 17 arrived at 4695 Aberdeen Avenue to find a two story single family home fully involved.  A supply line was laid and defensive operations began; the fire was marked under control within about  40 minutes.  Crews remained on scene overhauling for several hours.
